Congratulations to the Mount St Joseph Catholic College Milperra Class of 2023 on your Higher School Certificate (HSC) results!
We recorded 54 Distinguished Achievers and three All Rounders.
There were also some great results in the Creative and Performing Arts, with two students receiving Shape nominations, one group of students receiving an Onstage nomination, and one student receiving an Art Express nomination. This student has been selected for the Art Express exhibition to be held at Hazelhurst Gallery in Gymea.
Principal Narelle Archer congratulated Year 12 on their fantastic effort and achievements.
“Year 12’s collaboration, engagement and enthusiasm for learning was impressive,” she said.
“There were increased numbers in All Rounders and a substantial reduction in the number of students receiving lower bands.
“Strategic individual interventions with LSO support in literacy and numeracy saw significant growth of individual students, and there was also an increased focus on wellbeing and pastoral care programs linking to academic growth.”
SUCCESS ACROSS THE SYSTEM
Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) has once again achieved outstanding results in the 2023 HSC with nine of its 33 secondary schools ranked among the top 100 high schools in NSW.
A total of 18 schools ranked among the top 150 high schools—one more than last year—strengthening SCS’s position as one of the top performing systems in Australia.
SCS recorded an impressive 2780 Distinguished Achievers, 47 Top Achievers and 67 All Rounders.
Notably, eight SCS students also received HSC First in Course honours.
