Congratulations to the Mount St Joseph Milperra Class of 2024 on your outstanding Higher School Certificate (HSC) results!
Our school achieved 41 per cent of ATARs above 85, and recorded 33 Distinguished Achievers.
We also recorded five HSC showcase nominations for the best in HSC Drama (OnStage), Dance (Callback), and Visual Arts (ARTEXPRESS).
In Drama, 80 per cent of results achieved were Band 6, the highest possible, while in Visual Arts all students achieved Band 5 and 6 results.
All Mathematics Extension 2 students achieved Band 6 results. Close to half (47 per cent) of Mathematics Extension 1 students achieved Band E4 results (the highest possible in extension subjects), and English Extension students recorded four Band E4 results.
Mount St Joseph Principal Narelle Archer congratulated Year 12 on their fantastic efforts, noting the above results were outstanding for those subjects.
She said the students’ achievements were a result of their collaboration and dedication to doing their best.
“There were some excellent results which were an indication of the growth the students achieved throughout their time in stage 6,” Mrs Archer said.
“They were very supportive and proud of each other throughout that time and this was also evident when they all came for the celebration morning tea.
“The culture of collaboration has added to their successes.
“I was also very pleased for the teachers who had worked so hard in close relationship with the students to achieve their best.
“There was much joy as they celebrated their students’ achievements.”
SUCCESS ACROSS THE SYSTEM
Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) has achieved outstanding results in the 2024 HSC with 13 of its 33 secondary schools ranked among the top 150 high schools in NSW.
SCS recorded an impressive 2819 Distinguished Achievers, 42 Top Achievers and 45 All Rounders.
Notably, eight SCS students received HSC First in Course honours.
SCS students also completed 1,921 VET courses, and earned 280 HSC Showcase Nominations across the Creative and Performing Arts, and Technology and Applied Studies.
